What To Expect At Your Child’s First Visit
When visiting Little Chik Pediatric Dentistry, you can always expect a seamless and enjoyable experience for the entire family. As a local Northern Virginia pediatric dentist, we love getting to meet new families and introducing little ones to a life of fun, informative dental care in our cozy nest. Here's what you can expect at your child's first visit.
The First Visit Process
Step 1
Exam
First, Dr. Chik will gently examine your child's teeth and gums to ensure their oral health is on the right track and free of any dental issues. For our youngest chiks, this might include a comfortable "knee-to-knee" position with you.
Step 2
Cleaning
During your child's first appointment, our dental team will perform a gentle, yet thorough preventive cleaning to promote a happy, healthy grin and introduce your little one to our caring approach.
Step 3
Anticipatory Guidance/Counseling
We’ll share tips on brushing, diet, teething, and healthy habits to help guide your child’s smile at every stage. Our goal is to keep you informed and confident between visits.
Step 4
Treatment Plan
After their preventive treatments, Dr. Chik will discuss your little one's oral health and recommend a tailored treatment plan made just for their smile success as they grow.
